Golden honeydew is a medium sized melon with an oval to round shape. Golden honeydew melons typically give off a fruity and floral smell around the stem when ripe, the blossom end will give off a bouncy feeling under gentle pressure. They are a good source of vitamins A, C, and fiber while also having smaller amounts of Iron, Calcium and Vitamin K. The Outer should be thoroughly washed before opening, the melons can be sliced in half, removing the seeds, and the flesh can be cut for fresh preparations. Golden honeydew works well in green salads, fruit salads, mixed into yogurt, or wrapped in salted meats.
