Classic Baked Russet Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium Russet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, cheese, bacon bits

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Scrub potatoes clean and dry them thoroughly.
  3. Prick each potato a few times with a fork.
  4. Rub skins with oil and sprinkle with salt.
  5. Place directly on oven rack and bake for 50–60 minutes, until skins are crisp and insides are fluffy.
  6. Slice open and serve with toppings of choice.
