Occupational Safety and Health Policy

Twin City Produce of Springdale believes in creating a safe working environment. We strive for a safe workplace as it relates to injuries and illnesses for our employees and contractors, and customers, thereby improving the overall safety of the produce and products we deliver for the consumption and wellness of the people in the communities we serve.

Vision

Our vision is to remain a viable local source of fresh produce and food for local businesses, so they may continue serving the community affordable, safe food, whether fresh or prepared.

We foster a culture of “customer first” service, safe behavior, and routinely reach beyond compliance to ensure continuous improvement in food safety, hazard and risk identification, and beginning the use of technology for monitoring, documenting, and resolution tracking.

Guiding Principles

Our business practices are geared to ensure we observe safety (for food and people) in everything that we do. This includes collaborating with suppliers that independently demonstrate a commitment to safety.

We adhere to applicable legal requirements relating to occupational health & safety. We believe our safety performance is integral to operational excellence and our company’s integrity.  It has a positive impact on our employees, our customers, and the communities in which we operate. Occupational injuries and illnesses are preventable.

We know that each occupational injury and illness creates an opportunity to strengthen our management systems and by doing so are proud to report no serious injuries last year in our warehouse.

Leadership plays a major role in establishing the culture that manages health & safety like any other key business result. We believe safe behavior is a key job requirement. Work must be done safely or not at all.

We also believe Safety is everyone’s responsibility. Each employee is responsible for ensuring their safety and the safety of peers, site visitors, and the public we encounter when our delivering of product.
