Ingredients:
- 1 large head of green cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully remove the leaves from the cabbage head, trying to keep them intact. Blanch the leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Place a portion of the meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold in the sides and roll up the leaf to enclose the filling. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.
- Place the cabbage rolls in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 1 hour, or until the meat is cooked through and the cabbage is tender.
